Cancer treatment is usually stressful for patients and care-givers. So relaxation of mind and body is very important for cancer patients. Kathmandu Cancer Center located at Nala Road, Tathali now offers a safe and peaceful treatment environment for our patients in the newly renovated day care unit.
Services provided by the day care unit include chemotherapy injection or infusion services, immunotherapy , blood transfusion. Apart from comfort, safety and infection-control is equally taken care of. Day care patients goto home the same day of chemotherapy, saving both time and resources.
Day care chemotherapy is one of the novel concepts in Nepal. KCC has been promoting it since it started services. At our Day Care Center, patients can consult skilled and experienced oncologists in an ambient treatment setting. This centre is also capable of delivering novel therapies in oncology, such as immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapy and hormonal therapy.
As part of hospital extension, second floor of new hospital block has been designed for 10-bedded day care center.

It is meant for those patients who have been advised short therapies/procedures that do not require an overnight stay in the hospital. These patients are given treatment during the daytime and hence he/she can go home the same day.
