Image-Guided Care, Team Decisions
Brachyablation of lung tumours needs interventional radiology skill, a dedicated radiation oncology team and real-time CT guidance. Dr. Suwal places the thin catheter into the tumour under CT guidance, and the radiation plan is delivered with KCC's radiation oncology team.
The same image-guided approach is used for needle biopsy, so patients with a suspected cancer can be diagnosed, and if suitable treated, within one cancer centre.
"IR is there to help you with diagnosing and managing cancer, without major surgery or intervention"
